Marla Diaz
Agent
On her first visit to Panama in 2003 Marla Diaz knew she was home. She and her husband Roberto travelled to Panama from the US at least once a year for the following 8 years and finally made the permanent move in early 2011. She has not looked back since.
When asked how long she plans to live in Panama her answer is simply, “I’m home, I’m here for good.”
Her passions are travelling, experiencing other cultures, surfing and being a mommy. She has travelled extensively on both coasts of the US, Europe, Asia and parts of Central America. Panama is one of her favorite places on the planet. She always knew that she wanted to raise her family outside of the US in a tropical location. For her, Panama is the perfect place to settle down because of its location, safety and slower pace of living. She loves the location and ease of travel to the United States. Panama is safe and as a result of the US influence in the country for so many years, it has the perfect blend of American culture for her to feel familiar yet different. She feels the people of Panama are kind, generous and full of life. As a result of the Panama Canal the country is very international and cultures from around the world melt here which appeals to her. The smaller towns outside of the capital offer a slower pace of life similar to her upbringing in South Carolina. And last but certainly not least, being able to own an ocean front home was a dream come true that may not have been possible in the US.
When it comes to Real Estate Marla s philosophy is simple. Listen. People will let you know what they want and what will make them happy. She makes it her personal responsibility to bridge the gap between what people have and what people want. She really enjoys taking time to get to know the client and bringing them closer to their dream whether it be buying a perfect retirement home, vacation home or selling a home that no longer serves them. She has over 20 years in providing great customer service and believes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
